I'm not knocking them either. I'll root for an American company any day. And, really, they were nice bikes. All I'm saying is that the level of refinement wasn't up to the Harley Davidson. Plain and simple. Would a few mods change that? Maybe. But I'm sure as shit not taking my engine apart to get it up to snuff.

I still root for them, cause they are American made. But I don't see em overcoming the HD craze. I still think HD is more for your buck. And they are priced about the same when you compare apples to apples. I've done a few of the vic builds on their site... and poof... same if not more $$

Gas you are right- Regardless of why you are right you hear the tranny and if the bike is not broken in you will also clearly hear the cam chains
The only point I will make about price is that Victory on average can be purchased 15 to 20 % below retail and in the case of the one I bought as a leftover a little better than 30% below retail. That is where I find the value.

That type of below MSRP would be nice. HD definately isn't that way. If you want that you better look at used.
