Well, what's easier, hooking up a head unit with a million wires, or an Apple dongle to twin RCAs coming from an iPad?

Double standards my ass. I just like simple, and elegant.

Yep, same shit... probably same era, or close too it. I got mine a year or so ago from my old man... I took it completely apart, cleaned and regreased the rails, scrubbed it up real good from head to toe... There should be a mfg date stamped on either the side or back of the boxes, I'd be real interested to know where yours lines up.

I plan on building a house in about a year... the wife gets to design the rest of the house (minus the room with the tv and sound system - that is mine ) the garage is all mine. I plan on getting a toolbox like that and setting the whole garage up so I can actually get to my tools. I'll have to look around for something like that.

You get a cup of Joe, go into the garage, sit and just stare at it, and grin.

L-88 hood?

Avatard 01-27-2011 08:14 PM

Actually, looks like I will end up with a 427 hood, two flat stock "stinger" hoods, and the abomination you see in the pic, apparently some Ecklers Greenwood-style reproduction hood, which I will sell.

Fuck that, I want that hood.

I'm going to turn it upside down, and put some skis on it. I think i can rig it to shoot rockets out of those vents too, so, stay off my mountain if you know what's good for you.

Here's a pic of real L-88 corvette
http://www.maximum-cars.com/Cars/Che...-l88-coupe.jpg

About the only thing similar ( easy to see with both pics ) is the rear height.

Avatard,
I'm sure somebody will purchase that hood. Stock low riser hood limits your options on intakes and somebody will grab the fugly hood just to use a high rise intake.

I meant, is he gonna replace the Eckler hood with an L-88 hood...which is found on most 427 big block vettes.
