Hey I just looked up the specs on that bike, it's 1200 cc and only 130 hp... It down about 60 hp from the 1098R which has the same displacement. Even the smaller base 1098 has 30 more HP and is 10K cheaper.

True because if you could find a used one...most likely the owner would have taken good care of it.

That's how I bought my Z06 back in 2002 and how I'll probably buy my next one.:dthumb:

The only Duc I've ridden was a 999...I do like the 1098R and would buy that one.

The 1098 isn't the direct competition for the HP2. The 848 is basically the closest Duc competition. The HP2 is a boxer motor. Where the Duc is a V-twin. If you're going to compare it, check the specs on the 848 since thats what it runs against. Allthough they are both different style of motors.

That Bimmer is actually pretty nice looking the upper fairing reminds me of my bike.

The HP2 Sport bikes and riders finished 6th and 7th in the AMA Formula Extreme at Daytona despite having two-bikes gone down in the first lap. Not bad for an antiquated aircool engine, huh?

BMW uber alles:rockout:

BTW, does this look like an old man's bike?
