Of course he only drove it once a week, the rest of the time he drove his vette or his jeep depending on weather. |
This question sucks.
Married with two kids stuck with ONE sub $10,000 car? Wife who doesn't want to drive stick? Bunch of long legged freaks in the family who need space upfront and in the back? fuck that...I'd rather walk. |

we have a Mazda6 wagon that does family car duty (aka Wife's car).
My car.... I face the 10K question last year. My driving consists of under 8 miles a day, back and forth to the train station and\or gym. We get all kinds of weather. (since we occasionally get a decent amount of snow, the car has to make it out of the train station parking lot at night...low slung sports cars aren't gonna fly. Miata\S2000\Vette\Mr-2 can do it. I just don't like the idea of slowly demolishing the front air dam. There are a few commuters who do it with theirs. A nice slap in the face to those who think they need AWD drive as soon as the snow flakes start coming down. ) First instinct Where da Miata's at!!? (Wife in the background "Well what if I have to drive it in an emergency?!!" What about if we need Mazda breaks down?!!...Of course the logical answers are pointless so Miata is scratched of the list) Long story short, I wasn't getting anything I wanted. Things I wanted either had 100K+ miles on em, or just looked they had seen better days. If I get a Miata, I'd get nonsense come time to replace the Zx-11 (You already have a toy (Miata) and what's wrong with your old bike?!!) So I went with a 4 banger Camry with a manual transmission. It had very low miles and since nobody who is shoppin a Camry wants a manual transmission the dealer was desperate to get rid of it. It's a basic point a to point b car that can double as the family car. It's lame. It's boring. It sits in the train station parking lot most the time |

She's 6'2, all leg and she simply can't drive a Miata without a Chiropractor visit every 2 miles. |
