I've done things that I'm not going to brag about but if all the things I have done in life are what have gotten me to this point in life I'm not going to walk around saying I should have done things differently.
I'm thankful for what I have.

However there may be a few things that I feel I should do before I kick the bucket. However there is the possibilty that in 5 years I won't feel the need...is it important?

I regret not boiling some eggs last night so I could have a nice breakfast today.
Yes I have my oatmeal.
Yes I have my portugese roll.
no I do not have some hardboiled eggs to..ah fuck I forgot to pack some berries.

I just feel so empty inside.

Where's Chi?

I need a pic of Chi to make me feel better...

To ME, a regret is something I look back on, sigh, and wish I would have done it differently. I dont do that, therefore, I, myself, have no regrets.

I understand it's a qualifier and that's exactly why I put it right at the beginning of the sentence. That post was simply "this is what regret means to me, what does it mean to you?"

I just think people go way out of their way to rationalize everything so they can say "I have no regrets". So I was asking... what does regret mean to the people that say that?

Ah, well I stated what I feel it is. I think alot depends too on your mindset.

Me, I am very much an "in this moment" person. I used to spend all my time thinking about the past. Then I spent all my time worrying about the future. Both were allowing me to lead a less than pleasant and peaceful life, so I make myself live only in the current time, for this day or this week. (Dont get me wrong, I plan ahead financially, etc, I just dont stress about what I dont know will happen).

If I look back, its to remember good things, if I look forward, it for the good things. Regret is to me, a thing of sadness and I dont have room for it in my life.

I nominate this post to be it's own thread and turned into a sticky

No regrets so far... I like who I am... and where I'm headed... and to change anything in the past would be to change that.

that being said I have made many tough decisions that... hadn't/haven't revealed them selves to be be for the best at the time (or this moment).

Over all though, I feel good about my life. I'm not gonna be remembered by many past my generation... but I think that's mostly circumstances that get you there anyways. besides... I'll be dead, I could care less
