5th gen "coil on plug" setup project
It never stops, does it? Moving onto my next project. Since I don't feel like modifying the 6th gen airbox, I'm just going to go this route.

It's apparent this guy is pretty clueless about the electronic ignition system.
What is this clown exactly trying to accomplish? He doesn't like the coils that are located under the fuel tank that you can't see anyway? Uh..yeah..the three wires are for the hall effect driver that operates the primary coil control. The third wire is for the transistor low side current path. Clown... |
Cliff Notes:
"I don't know jack shit about how any of this works, but it should be fine." JC |

Also Im not a clown seeing as Ive worked on everythig Ive owned and nothing Ive done has broken. Go be a douche somewhere else. |

You or him or whomever can do whatever the fuck you wish to your bike. Be my guest...but when you modify something , there usually is some type of gain of some sort. There is absolutely no gain in what this guy is doing because all of that shit is buried under the fuel tank and most likely will prematurely wear out the driver in the ignition module. Does he not realize that there is resistance from the secondary coil through the boot just as there is via a spark plug wire? I would have hoped he measured the primary coil resistance on both the coil over plug vs the separate coil so he doesn't prematurely wear out the driver in the ignition module. Oh wait he doesn't even know what an ignition module is. This is the guy that tells you this at a bike night and you're thinking to yourself...what a dolt. redflip |
I'm the one that made the vids dumbass. :wtfru:
You're the guy that's too scared to pick of a screw driver. "OMG! Don't do that! If the manufacture didn't do that then it must have never meant to be." The 6th gens use coil on plugs and their engine is the exact same (except for vtec) and they use the same spark plugs, same sensors, and the harness is almost the same. |

101s a funny dude, man. Sometimes, he says brilliant shit, and you'd fucking swear someone hacked his account. Then this.
Engineers. Weird. |
That's why companies never let them talk directly to the public, btw.
Would cause fucking panic. Lol. |
