Trackday Jan 17!

Who's in?

Leon 01-04-2010 12:31 PM

I'll be there. Iif it's this cold, the bike will sit in the pit and not move.

I'll bring a space heater but I will still ride.

That reminds me, I need to send my front tire warmer to ChickenHawk.

No silly talk though, this shit better be gone by the weekend.

BRRRR!!!

If I was a mod I would totally move, lock, or rename this thread. It is totally off of topic!

I'll be West that weekend, probably skiing!

What's the weather supposed to be? My last day at Road Atlanta was 34 degrees. I wore Under Armour thermals and a sweater under my leathers and thick ski socks in my (perforated) boots. The only thing that got cold was my fingers after 8-9 laps.

Had WAY more traction than I expected to since the tire warmers were set to 170 and never broke 125 all day, even with the side walls installed on the EZ-ups and a torpedo heater keeping it warm inside.

Had so much fun that day I'm already looking forward to Barber in February. Average temp there is 50 during the day, but I'll try to deal with the heat.

I'm not sure. I'm sure it will be typical a January day.

We were bitching about the front we are dealing with now. It's been below 40(windchill) the last two days. Not normal round here.

My biggest gripe with the cold is grip. As long as the tires bite, my body will warm up, eventually.

What warmers are you using spendyMcspenderson?

Not sure yet.

Do you know which day you are riding? Are you going to be there both days?

Heard about that, I think Pops is moving to Cuba to warm up.

At RA I had better grip than I expected, even after the long back straight where I was afraid my tires may turn to ice right before the 10a and 10b 90 degree left/right turns.

I'm using Chicken Hawk digital pros, of course. :whatwhat:

I'll be there both days for sure. Plan right now is to ride Saturday and maybe a few sessions Sunday. Depending on the weather.

My bike and Kelley's bike. Either both in the truck or borrowing a smaller trailer from Israel.

I'll take the big trailer then if it is available.

You can borrow my two-bike-tie-down-rack-thingie if it will fit it Kel's truck.

You can borrow my trailer if needed. It could use the "activity." It's been sitting too long.

AquaPython 01-11-2010 11:26 AM

so sean, looks like its me and you. is that cool? you need help with anything? how do you want to do it ?

shmike 01-11-2010 11:28 AM

It look like we may all 4 pile on the big trailer.

I'll work out the details with Leon, at this point, plan on loading at L & K's house Friday after work.

AquaPython 01-11-2010 11:37 AM
