How To Build An Electric Cafe Racer For A Small Budget

South Carolina husband and wife Ed and Tammy build for fun their own electric motorcycles for a very modest budget. They decided to build an electric Cafe Racer in the style of the Triumphs of the 70′s and starting from a 1978 Honda CB750 costing them only $250 they arrived to finish EV motorcycle featured here. And this very nice couple are nice enough, although in a very amateurish website, to explain to you how they did it and how you could also build yours. So, I will not repeat. Before you bug Ed and Tammy for more advice, just a warning before you are getting started. There is a lot of voltage on an electric bike. Wired incorrectly, these batteries can seriously injure or kill you. Summary explanation at: Juiced Drag Racing
I likey!

I think I found my campus commuter. Especially if they can throw on some pedal looking things so my school thinks it is a moped. That way I can park with the bicycles.

Why did you attach your garage to your kitchen?

$250... bullshit. It only cost them $250 because they have tens of thousands of dollars worth of shit laying around. If you or I were to attempt something like this, I'd expect our budget to be somewhere closer to $5k.

I like that analogy

Yeah, $250 was the cost of the junker they started with (and ended up not using anyway). Even with all the sponsored parts, I'm guessing this wasn't what the rest of us would call a small budget.
