Arrow
Saturday I ordered an Arrow half system for the 748... it's a birthday present for my husband. :dthumb:
With any luck, it will be in this week so I can have it installed by his birthday on the 19th. WOOHOO!! |
Need I say it - you just freakin ROCK. He's going to be so excited!!!!!!!
|
Awesome. I heard a RC51 with Arrows on it. It was beautiful. I can imagine a Duc will be magical.
|
I wanted another set of Termis like the 998... but, they're too damn expensive. HA!
|
Cool! Good Luck! You're an awsome wife!
~Wish my so would hook me up like that!! |
You rock. If I had some sort of SO, and she bought me bike parts, I would be truly happy in life.
|
My wife ain't buying me shit for my bike.
|
Nice choice. I think he will definatly like them. Make sure to post pics once it's installed.
|
Nice choice - can't wait to hear it!

So, I get a phone call this morning from the duc-shop that the Titanium Arrow's are out of stock and discontinued... I have the choice of re-order something else in Titanium, or go with the Carbon Fibre. *sigh* CF it is...
|
Sorry to hear that! Good luck!

My wife hates getting me bike-related stuff. But when she asks me what I wantand I tell her it's something for my bike, she gets it anyway. So far she's gotten me a Shoei, Pilot Powers, my first 1-peice and track 'glass. Thinking I'll ask for a full Graves system or something for the anny/x-mas gift.

The interesting thing with the bikes I have, I can interchange parts between the three of them. I mean, the 998 and 748 are damn near identical other than the actual motor - even then they have the same injectors and sensors. Even the 1994 monster has parts that have just evolved to the newer bikes. They haven't done that with the new ones. |

Yummmy.... just arrived. Now running off to put them on :)
|
Nice.

Motherfucker... no adapter in the box... would you think, if you order a 45-to-50mm system, that they would get you the 50mm exhaust with the 45-to-50mm adapter??!?!
http://www.millan.net/minimations/sm...crysmiley1.gif Now, do you think I looked for it while at the shop??!? No... I didn't notice until I had the exhaust off. Not that it was difficult, but STILL!! UGH. Just called the shop, and they're going to "see what they can do". It probably won't be before tomorrow. Evan will be home at 11:30 - with the cans in the box. grrrrrrrrrrrr |
damn zoom that sucks...again
|
Goddamn Eye-ties and their lack of quality control!!!
|
OK, so after trying to find a part that Arrow doesn't make any longer - the midpipe is a thing of the past. I mean, I found a guy in California, but he wanted to charge me another $200 for something I supposedly had already. :td:
I returned the Arrow slip-ons to the DucShop - and went online. I found a Termi half system for less than I paid for the slip-ons! Woot!!! So, now it's on... the pipes took me all of 34 seconds to get off, and about 20 minutes to put on. But, the on doesn't count against me... Evan wanted to do it himself (drinking beer) :lmao: It SOUNDS fantastic!! And, now the bikes are closer to matching than before. |

Yes, I do... they're both married. One into bikes, the other not. The master plan with the bikes is to make them *identical*. Getting new fiberglass for both - white, with black logos. White tanks... getting a CF airbox and runners for the 748. One side will have my company logo on it - the other side the track's logo. Each bike will have them on different sides - so when they are parked next to each other you can see both logos. The 998 has black everything (rearsets, clutch, wheels), the 748 has silver. Fun times. |
Awesome, I'm impressed! (And disappointed you don't have any single sisters!)
