Have a set of these http://sitincomfort.com/bx805gloves.html

They only heat for about an hour or two, but they are quite warm, so I ussually ride for a while till my hands start to chill, turn them on for a while till my fingers are toasty, then turn them off; it takes another hour or so for my fingers to chill, so then I do the whole thing over again. Used that way, I'm good for a 6-8 hr ride.

but a 1yr warranty. HD is a lifetime warranty on the heating elements. And what the hell you suppose to do with that giant battery pack?

Straps to your wrist. Yes, it is large, but it's a lot less than the HD gloves. Also, for those of us with smaller hands, the snowmobile type gloves are way too bulky to confidently use the brake and clutch levers. Been there, done that.

I don't have big hands by the grand scheme. I can fit my one BIL's wedding ring over mine.

I ride with big thick gloves all the time. Its a bit bothersome at first but so are any full length glove after I've been riding fingerless all summer. You adapt and are fine. I will promise you, that I use my fingers and thumbs way more than most while riding. Have you ever seen hand controls on an Ultra? Each side has about 10 different buttons/controls.

Further, simply put. You get what you pay for. By the time those other brands short out in 2 years and you buy another set, you could have just bought the hd's. Remember. lifetime warranty on the heating elements and wiring.
