I see that Wyoming is rated last for drunk driving. My first time driving in Wyoming was in the early 70's with an Army buddy. The liquor store was open on Sunday, and it had a drive-up window like a bank.

My buddy drove up, ordered some beer, and leaned out the window to pay. He dropped the money on the ground. It took him a minute to get out of the truck, several minutes to find the change, and took him several tries to get back into the truck. And the owner still sold him the beer.

Here in Colorado, they just passed a law that liquor stores could be open on Sunday. But luckily, no drive-up windows yet.

So much for the "conventional wisdom" that NY, NJ, and CA drivers are the worst.

I been saying forever that NY and PA people are pure shit in comparison to dirvers from the gold plate state.

By the way......I'm betting that a rank of average IQ levels would have a pretty high correlation with that chart.....

Any ranking of worst drivers by state that doesnt have MA and CA in the top 5 is obviously massively flawed

ETA: Didn't realize it was motorcycle specific, that makes more sense. You get pretty damn good when you have to dodge shitty cage drivers all over the place.

As far as being motorcycle specific? Is there proof of that? Where did this chart come from? I don't think it's possible to compile accurate "fatalities per million miles", especially for motorcycles, because so many of them are maintained by their owners instead of being taken to dealerships where their mileage might get recorded.

As for the "tickets" rank, I don't think that belongs in the criteria. That really only shows how aggressive the law enforcement is in that state.

I don't know.

I reckon if you gave those DC boys an axe and a bag of corn, they couldn't make whiskey or build a house.
