ktm is looking to making a big impact and it might of hit the nail on the head if it gets this right

dReWpY 02-25-2008 07:36 PM

but it is butt ugly

NeonspeedRT 02-25-2008 10:45 PM

That bike is so sweet. Good luck trying to get your hands on one in the states for about a year though. I've heard they are only bringing in a limited number and most of those have deposits on them already.

KTM is doing it right. The Superduke is insane. And the RC8 looks pretty killer. We've got a local KTM dealer...they love to do demo rides. I'ma have to roll out there.

Not my cup o tea :idk:

I got to demo a Supeduke last fall. Nice ride.. but not being used to a V-Twin I hit the rev limiter 3 times on a 5 minute ride. The thing was deceptively fast though.

How was the torque curve on it?

It was pretty flat, it pulled like a Rhino in every gear no matter your RPM.

I love the look of everything but the front fairing... if they changed the way it looks it'd be perfect! I like how clean the tail is... and the buell(ish) exhaust

Dave 02-28-2008 08:10 AM

its definately slick, i just hope theres room for them in the market

I'm the opposite (tho i generally ride a Vtwin)
Rode a buddies GSXR600 and was constantly short shifting. until i remembered to LOOK at the tach.

NONE_too_SOFT 02-28-2008 08:22 PM

thing looks like it was built for a low quality video game, what with all the polygons.

The Eye-ties ain't the only ones who know a thing or two about V-twin. Ride Big Orange:rockwoot:

I've said it several times before, you simply cannot go wrong with Big Orange. KTM has proven in the past that if they want to compete, and eventually dominate a market they can. The jap companies better be looking over their shoulder if KTM decides they want a bigger segment of the street scene. I can't wait to see how the US journalists review the bike. My guess is that they won't like it because it departs from the cookie cutter japanese mold.

Damn right.

After watching that video and seeing the walk around, the front end flows with the rest of the bike. Thing's fuckin nasty. If I were to get a V, it would be that before any other. Thing's sick.

OneSickPsycho 03-08-2008 10:48 AM

I hate Disturbed, but I'm down with that sickness...

It's definately corny coming from you. C'mon, man. You're better than that.

6doublefive321 03-08-2008 01:13 PM

Jesus jumped up christ. I just now saw the video. I want one NOW!

Any ideas on the price? I'm going ahead and guessing $17k.

vabarber2 03-08-2008 01:38 PM
