Very, very carefully.:dthumb:

No more than 1/4 throttle, easy shifts and crossed fingers.

Flexin 12-20-2008 01:14 PM

I hope you picked up a new chain to go with that sprocket.

um? if your old sprocket went that far to hell, WHY DID YOU BUY ANOTHER PIECE OF SHIT like that? seriously.

tached1000rr 12-20-2008 02:43 PM

How many miles on that sprocket? What type of maintenance intervals were used on it?

The greatest question of all time right here.

I would NEVER EVER EVER buy a Vortex sprocket. I've seen way too many of those pieces of shit look like that. That should not happen to a sprocket EVER!

Yamerhaw 12-21-2008 10:48 AM

vortex= shit

I clean and lube the chain every week. It seems to be ok.

The only reason I got another Vortek is it was the only thing I could get quickly.

Nobody makes a steel 520 rear for the SV.:panic:

tached1000rr 12-21-2008 01:20 PM

Keep an eye out on it in that case

A chain on that sprocket had to have taken a beaten. I think you should have replaced that chain at the same time as the spocket. How many miles were on that Vortex?

FAIL! thats 525, not 520. send me that old vortex, lemme crossref with some other stuff I might have and I'll see if I cant find a steel 520 rear off something else that would work. I note a lot of modern SS bikes have extremely similar style sprockets at least, so something is bound to match sooner or later.
