It was a joke and I agree that a leather punch would be the ticket.

However with the icepick leaving the material actually there you could plug the holes back up for cold weather riding. :lol

I keed...I keed...I own a jacet with perforated leather.

Just make sure you are not wearing the jacket when using the ice pick right?

Since I have no response to these "fantastic" ideas, I'll just add some boobs.

Goddamnit where was all this back when I needed suit perforation?

BTW leather punch + stiff backing board(that fits between leather and mesh liner) = DIY/cheap way out. And no, an icepick wont work, it'll just punch a hole that closes back up once the leather moves around. Trust me.

It takes FOREVER but it gets the job done and I am able to survive the 110deg trackdays.

Shannon at Panther City Leathers is quoting me $125-135 to perforate the back and arms of the jacket. Sounds reasonable considering the amount of labor involved. I'll probably send it up to her this weekend.

It's still a little early to be sure but it looks like Shannon ripped me off. She was very communicative when asked questions over email so I sent her the jacket. A week later she sent a Paypal money request. I paid that and now 10 days later I don't have a jacket and she hasn't responded to multiple emails.

Anyone in Dallas want to make a stop by her place and kindly remind her to ship my jacket?
