Auto Owners > Liberty Mutual > State Farm > Geico > everyone else Progressive and Allstate have never been remotely close to the ballpark. I've used AO for years, though I am about to start shopping around again. Their rates have jumped 10-15% every year since I signed with them. Could be the entire market has seen similar increases, but it still pisses me off enough to check with other providers. I haven't used these guys since 2006-ish, but they were always very reasonably priced when I insured just the bikes without an auto/home bundle: ACE Cycle Insurance http://www.acecycleins.com/index_files/logo.gif |
I pay $285.05 every six months for my Suzuki, Hayabusa ($47.50/mo), for full coverage, comprehensive and collision, with USAA.

$3800 a yr with esurance BUT I saved $7000!!!!
Insurance companies must thrive off of stupid people. |
Damn, that sounds like Ontario style insurance rates. I'm currently paying around CAN$1100.00 per year for $1M liability and coverage that would likely pay out if I was hit by a falling Russian satellite.

For reference, currently 26, clean record.
2011 Tuono V4R - $456 full coverage 2010 RC8R - $988 full coverage 2010 R1 - $1159 full coverage 2010 ZX14 - $1776 full coverage 2010 Ninja 1000 - $2931 full coverage WHAT THE EVER LIVING FUCK???? :panic: |
You boys need to quit buying the expensive shit! I pay $160 a year for full coverage on my 2001 Tiger 955i through Progressive. I think it's $75 a year for liability only on my 1998 KLR650.
By the time I'm able to afford a new Vmax, the insurance will probably be reasonable on it too! Hmmm? I wonder what insurance would be on a new H2!? |

Ducati: all models Kawasaki: Ninja all models When I was trying to get insurance for my ER6n, a few years back, my insurer wouldn't cover it because they said they "don't cover sportbikes." They did say that they would keep covering my '00 VFR800, or a new one if I bought the latest version. Hmmmm...... so what is a sportier bike; A Kawi ER, or a Honda VFR? :skep: This same company said that they would also not cover a Ninja 650R, but would cover a Versys 650. Brain. Damaged. |

A fine example is the z1000 and ninja 1000. Exactly the same bike and same price basically and the z1000 is has cheaper insurance. |
