Happy Anniversary to Me!!!!

In honor of my 3rd motorcycle birthday, tomorrow (10/08/05 ) is the big day. Which is ironically the same day as my fiance's birthday. Yes, yes, I bought my first motorcycle on the same day as her birthday. :zowned: I want to take you back, back in time. To that very week when I first started riding which was a week after my join date on TWF. Here is the front page from TWF on 10/10/05, there is even my first thread in the updates on there where I am asking opinions on the SV/Kat/Ninja 650.

Mr Lefty 10-07-2008 05:40 PM

I was wondering why the little icon was all weird...

yay... I can look at just how ignorant I was... err... still am...

ceo012384 10-07-2008 09:53 PM

Funny to think back to when you started, isn't is nick? I think about that a lot... hilarious.

What's funnier is that I like to think I was one of the people who started pretty 'smart' about it... scares me to think of most folks.

Mrs. Colleen 10-07-2008 09:57 PM

My husband bought me my bike for my birthday and you buy yourself one for your SO's day. Good thing she loves you! :dthumb:

PiZdETS 10-07-2008 11:05 PM

You've only been riding 3 years and you've mastered the gap? I need to step my game up, I've been riding almost 5 I think...

Mr Lefty 10-07-2008 11:18 PM

yeah but he lives 30 mins from it... if that... so he can ride the gap 300 days a year no problem...

Trip 10-07-2008 11:59 PM

hey look at that, we have a red style in honor of my anny.

Yeah I wouldn't say I mastered the gap, that place is not able to be mastered. Every run is completely different than the previous.

Gas Man 10-08-2008 12:54 AM

Well I was in the middle of purchasing it on the 7th and the fianance office of my employees credit union closed before we got the deal done and I had to come back in on the 8th (her birthday) to finish it. She was not a happy camper.

He's a helluva rider! ......except when riding in straight lines and in groups. He doesn't seem to have grasped the concept of going straight. Ask fatburg.

It seems so strange to me to have a date that you can point to and say I starter riding here.

If you classify first streetable bike as when you first started then I was 10yrs old I think. So that gives me 19 years of riding... Dirt I was 8? so ya thats all I have to add.

And we are the same age...

My dad rode when he was little and pretty much banned us because of his mistakes from riding until we were old enough to buy our own and not give a shit what he said.

Yes, He did go faster thru the gap than I did on my first trip there in my life...

But I think he did see me on one wheel and I however don't recall seeing him in "total control". Shit he did smash right into some poor guy on an innocent r1 out of Liter Envy!

Greeeeeeaaaat....I thought this thread was funny so I showed my husband...now he thinks it would be a great idea to buy himself a new bike on my birthday next year. :tt:

Mr Lefty 10-08-2008 11:37 PM

Well I wouldn't expect you to understand my love for the I4 600. You live where you do and I live where I do. 600s and Motards are the bikes of choice here unless you can get your hands on a badass 250 2 smoke.
