FI isn't superior to carbs unless it's properly tuned. On most bikes, the FI is horribly mapped from the factory, with dead spots and jerky transitions.

I put almost 52K on an SV650 with carbs without issues, so I don't see the big deal.

I prefer FI over carbs because I'm lazy

FI has a distinct advantage of being a lot less hassle to tune, and you can always just start it right up, no cleaning carbs and bullshit pilot jet clogging to worry about.

Sure, you can tune FI, if you fork over $300 for a power commander and then pay more for a custom map.

52K miles and I never had to clean carbs or anything. Never had problems starting either.

The ZZR600 has better midrange power than the F4i, and is more comfortable, and the charging system doesn't crap out like early Hondas always did.

I know the 80's CBR600's, includin the F3, at least had issues with the R/R, as did the 900RR, but I wasnt aware the F4/F4i has this issue too.

Hmm, well I think most of them shared the R/R's, could be wrong though.

Honda paint was always on the thin side too :p

:skep:

That was only on the CA models. The 49 State bikes were flawless.

We are talking about the charging system. Why would the CA bikes use a different R/R? I've ordered one before, and they never asked me whether I had a CA bike.

I was just yanking ya dude. :)

I have an 03 with 25K miles on it and I have never had any charging or electrical problems at all. Paint looks good too.
