I've only ever heard of one guy who owned one and didn't like it... and he was a douchebag.

I convinced a dude off a firebolt and onto a 08 600rr. He is much happier now. :rockwoot:

He had to have his motor rebuilt twice though, so he wasn't much happy with it.

intresting... how old a firebolt?

I'm not looking for anything right now anyways.. I need a couple more years on my bike... but I'm 95% sure the next bike is gonna be a V-Twin... and Buell is rank'n way up there for me at the moment....

Yeah, the 600rr is sure to be much more polished... On all the Buell boards I've been on the Thunderstorm engine seems rock solid... The guy who didn't like his Buell also had some weird electrical thing happen that caused it to burst into flames while he was riding... He was still a douchebag.

If he had it modded up considerably that may be the reason... though I've seen enough turbo'ed XB12's to think it might still be a fluke...

I like the silver headers... I think I'm going to do that to my bike... The Cherry Bomb color looks pretty good... I've saw a guy get the grey plastics off the City-X and put them on with the red wheels... it was MONEY.

Hey ebbs.. you should get a Buell...

My thoughts on the 1125R

-it's different
-it seems to be comfortable to ride
-Austrain engine, AMERICAN made
-specs rival a 1098... for far less money
-lifetime warranty belt (no lube, no adjusting, no need to replace)

That's only because the rest of the people that have ridden one decide not to buy one...

:lmao:

Kind of kidding. The Buells are a love them / hate them thing. I suggest doing a test ride. And, they are one of the few manufacturer that will allow test rides... DO IT. Though, I usually wait until they have a give away to do it (they have to bribe most to do it).

Why you say that??
what advantage does an R6 have on the track vs the 1125R?
I'm not the most educated on this, so i'm going mostly off what i've read, and sheer stats.

R6 weighs in 9 lbs lighter dry
1125 has more hp, and more torque, and the power is everywhere, vs just in the top end.
Shouldn't this make it easier to go fast around the track?
Less problems finding the right gear for every corner.
No driveline lash, as you have a constant tension belt vs a chain.

Just my thoughts... tell me why i'm wrong.

You're not wrong. The XB's...absolutely...they can get around a track quickly...but they are made for the street. The 1125 is a track bike.

I have always like the chassis on the Buells and they are a shrap looking machine but the ones I rode with the pushrod engine circa 1936 were slugs by comparison to everyother twin I rode wich is why I wnet with my Duc. Had the 1125 been available I mught have gone that route. It looks like Mr Buell finally returned to building sportbikes
