How steep is Lookout Mountain?

Yeah, I ride Lookout Mountain as often as possible. And I write about how twisty and steep it is, but how steep and twisty is it really?

Last month they had the first sanctioned skateboard race down the top part of the mountain. Check out the gear on this crashing racer: http://www.denverpost.com/search/ci_12335003

Wow. 40mph on a skateboard. Sounds wild.

That guy used too much front brake.

I'd love to come out there and ride it with you. I bet you are pretty swift on that road. If you had to estimate how many times would you say you have been up and down?

Would've made it if he didn't jam it on like a racer.

You've gotta ask yourself a question:

"Do you know what a switchback is?"

Well, do ya?

Punk.

Judging by the skateboard, I'd say he highsided from too much rear brake!
