DIY dent repair...

We've talked about it, but I don't recall ever seeing it in action.

That is BADASS... maybe I'll try it on my neighbors car... he's got a big dent in his door of his Charger DUB edition from his kid...

wonder if that will work that well with older cars that were made of real metal.

cool

I could still see a crease in the metal. The quality of the video suck and with that faded shitty black paint you couldn't really tell how big the dent was. I guarantee that shit wont work on a tiny door ding the size of a dime.

Yep, it's not perfect, but it's always worth a shot. I agree that the really small dings are not going to work with this method (I'd try it anyway for the hell of it)...

Well, I would have to say it is from the metal being preformed to the orig. shape and the heating (slight expanding) and then the rapid cooling (contracting) of the metal causes it to flex back to where it is flexed to go. But again a small tank dent would have to much resrstance to do this but hell its worth a try. I would heat it with a 900 degree heat gun and then try to pop it back with the super cool duster spray... without melting the paint of course.
