Canada loses an icon
I have my doubts that many Americans have ever heard of the guy, but Stompin' Tom Connors was a Canadian folk music icon. He wrote simple songs that all Canadians could relate to. I doubt that there is a single person, who was born and raised in Canada, who doesn't know "The Hockey Song" or "Bud the Spud."
He died, yesterday, at the age of 77. http://www.stompintom.com/ |
