Recommendations.

Could we or should we make a sticky for parts/service/repair recommendations? I was thinking about this when I bought my new tires. Just a little shout to inform others about good stuff we have come across or would recommend to others. I'll start, just bought a set of General Grabber AT2s for my mostly highway driven Jeep Liberty Limited. Love these tires. They are more aggressive than my Firestones that were on it(suck) and still have better handling and offroad characteristics. I was going to get BFG All Terrains, like I had on my Wrangler(hated them), but found better reviews and a less expensive price, so I got them. After over a month and about 1200 miles, they are fantastic, great traction on both soupy mud and loose sandy dirt, as well as great road tires. I got a price of $147 apiece with mounting, balance, stems and tire disposal. This was @$25 a tire cheaper than the BFGs, which I would say is the closest comparable tire.

I like my Hankook ATM's. Only 5k on them so far, but no complaints.

I always go to Tirerack.com and read their comparison tests.

 Well I'm not keen on spending $500+ on something without doing some basic research first. It's a lot better than taking the advice of some dweeb in a walk-in tire store. They're just trying to sell you whatever they have on the shelf.......which are usually not the best tires.
