Ordered these from TwistedThrottle for the same price as most of the sliders for my bike.

For the price difference you have way more protection. What was the install time? Don't look like much.

nhgunnut 06-28-2010 05:15 AM

They Look Great How was the intstall?

Papa_Complex 06-28-2010 06:57 AM

Very nice. They look far less obtrusive than I expected, even after seeing the pictures on the link that you posted in your "surprise" thread. Looks like a very useful mod.

Rangerscott 06-28-2010 11:31 AM

It took me awhile cause theres no how-to. Just a few picks. Not hard, but you to do the bolts in procedures. The engine didnt fall so thats good.

I wish they stuck out about 1/2" more. I have edit my vids before i upload them.

njchopper87 06-29-2010 12:34 AM

Reason is... you double posted like drewpy always does from his phone.

Geez... do I have to explain everything?

Particle Man 07-02-2010 02:03 PM

Hopefully i wont have to find out how well they work silly.

derf 07-02-2010 06:48 PM

Yeh yeh, go ahead and lay it down at a high speed and test it out for us

Rangerscott 07-02-2010 07:09 PM

I do want to lay the bike over to see exactly what hits. I'll wait till I'm on E and have some extra help.

Make it PCP and you won't need any help.

I was thinking that they'd make a good location for a couple of small fogs.

A nice set of highway pegs FTW

Papa_Complex 07-02-2010 07:49 PM

The stock peg position is pretty danged generous, as it is.

Particle Man 07-05-2010 04:45 PM

sometimes you just gotta shift positions though :)

Papa_Complex 07-05-2010 04:46 PM

Those times are called "rest stops" ;)

Particle Man 07-05-2010 05:34 PM

Eff that, piss while standing on the pegs and keep movin'!
:lmao:

Rangerscott 07-05-2010 11:18 PM

What your inseam papa? Tall people need not apply to this bike.

Papa_Complex 07-06-2010 12:19 AM

5'9" with a 32" inseam. Fits me just fine.

Rangerscott 07-07-2010 01:38 AM

Gonna try to get a spare seat and send it to this guy.

Papa_Complex 07-07-2010 08:47 AM

Interesting. I hadn't heard of them before. I've always gone with Sargent, out of Florida.

Rangerscott 07-07-2010 10:11 AM

Corbin makes a seat, but corbins look like cruiser seats stuck on sport bikes.

Papa_Complex 07-07-2010 10:18 AM

They're also crap quality, fit like shit, and weigh half what the bike does.

I had a Sargent World Sport Seat on my VFR and it was light, and great quality. I was also very happy with the seat they re-covered for me, for my Bandit 1200(s).

Rangerscott 07-07-2010 06:42 PM

I have the two piece sargent on my vfr.

Weeeeeeeelllllllll...................Ya.

I was coming to a stop and started to turn right before stopping completely. I came in too hot and the handle bars kept turning. At least is wasn't has hard to pick up unlike my VFR.

Nice to know that they work as advertised. I'd say they saved you maybe $1K in damage.

EtyrnuSS 03-30-2011 12:33 PM

Nice, may have to look into a set. And this bike isn't too bad, I'm 6'3", pretty comfortable for me to ride.

Rangerscott 03-30-2011 09:12 PM

Other than the seat sucking ass, it's a fun bike. Even a dildo like papa complex rides one.

At least as a dildo I get more action than you do, with your avatars.

And mine has better suspension than yours :p

EtyrnuSS 03-30-2011 09:27 PM

I'll agree about the seat. Almost forces you to take a break every hour or so.

Papa_Complex 03-30-2011 09:29 PM

I don't find the seat particularly bad, by sportbike standards, but the angle makes it damned sure your balls will be regretting longish rides.

I'm not a fat ass so the stock suspension works for me. :moon:

I tend to push a bike's performance, on occasion, so it doesn't work for me ;)

Rangerscott 06-22-2011 11:31 PM

Sent in the pics to twisted throttle and theyre going to make a before/after portfolio.

Papa_Complex 06-23-2011 06:28 AM

Their site seems to be having trouble at the moment. I'll try again later.

*EDIT* Good set of pictures there :D
