Only a grand, I wish thats all I had to spend.

1700 for suspension
700-1000 for tires
4-800 race plastics
another 3-500 for miscalaneous things brake lines, fairring stay and other goodies.

OreoGaborio 12-28-2009 11:46 PM

well then give the 200 to me, I'll put it towards my motor work :D

Tommy, I'm just talking about costs beyond the normal costs, which includes tires & miscellaneous stuff. I don't wanna think about all the normal stuff I spend my money on :p

I got really silly & spent a LOT on my street bike this year... it's the race bike's turn to get some love over winter. Decking the heads, valve job, galfer rotors, quickshifter. The rest is "the norm". I already have suspension, it just needs a rebuild... already have race glass, though it might get a re-paint...

Gel seat or PCIIIR

I got really silly & spent a good 2500 bucks on my street bike this year... it's the race bike's turn to get some love over winter. Decking the heads, valve job, galfer rotors, quickshifter. I am converting a streetbike into a track toy so all the costs will add up but I did get an 07 gsxr 750 for 3k. My last track bike was already fully prepped so it was a lot easier.

OreoGaborio 12-28-2009 11:55 PM

Oh yeah... converting street to pure track/race can definitely cost a pretty penny. I buy my track bikes already track prepped.

For bodywork, I have Armour Bodies from www.woodcraft-cfm.com on my SV and my teammate has a set on his 600rr... the stuff is TITS and pretty affordable. You should definitely look into it. Awesome bang for the buck.
