There are also inner bags with sides that make side loading bags easier. Ask trip, his bags atte side load.

Yeah and I have inner bags I can use on my top loads. Top load is far better IMO, that way it don't all fall out when you open the case.

The bags I'm thinking of have sides so when you open them up they only open to a 45 angle, then there are sides that keep stuff from falling out the sides.

Mine are. But then, mine come off the bike easily and pack like a suitcase. That and they are expandable to fit a helmet.
