Now that was good. But I had plans to make it better. I didn't like the way you had to get off the bike, hold it with one hand while you spin on the front wheel vice... scary biz and not worth the risk.
Got a Condor Wheel Chaulk with chopper bar, and 2 different front tire setups http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3.../Condor004.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3.../Condor005.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3.../Condor007.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3.../Condor011.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3.../Condor009.jpg You see where I'm going? The old vise setup http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3.../Condor013.jpg Remove it http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3.../Condor014.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3.../Condor015.jpg Pull the front supporting rod http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3.../Condor016.jpg Grab the chopper extension that is needed for this setup. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3.../Condor018.jpg Mount that on the lift http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3.../Condor020.jpg Mount the trailer adapter so I can use the condor both on and off the lift http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3.../Condor022.jpg Install the adapters to the condor for the trailer hookup http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3.../Condor024.jpg Slide in and bolt with thumb screw http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3.../Condor025.jpg |

Puts me at about $1600 into the lift. But damn it works so well!!!! here we go again... this time my neighbor, aka Sgt, with his and mine limited amount of compatitable free time... my neighbors 04 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100 spent about 5 days on the lift.... I don't mind and I don't charge. I figure if the owner works on it with me its no charge. You want to drop off and pick up when done... I need at least food and drink. Anyway... here we go... http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...an/Sean001.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...an/Sean001.jpg Bust out the new V&H 2:1 pipes http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...an/Sean004.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...an/Sean005.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...an/Sean007.jpg The old stock system http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...an/Sean008.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...an/Sean009.jpg Bolt that up. Start it up to check it out http://s99.photobucket.com/albums/l311/cjclark69/Lift%20Wrenching/Sean/?action=view¤t=Sean011.flv then bolt up some new floor boards instead of the pegs http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...an/Sean012.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...an/Sean013.jpg Cleaned her up a bit http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...an/Sean015.jpg |

Drill out the air/fuel mixture screw cap http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...an/Sean037.jpg Drop the bowl http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...an/Sean033.jpg Pull the floats, inspect the float vlv and change the main jet http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...an/Sean029.jpg Reassemble the carbs http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...an/Sean039.jpg Put them back in and start hooking everything back up http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...an/Sean040.jpg Looking good... starts and runs, but carbs need to be sync'ed http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...n/Sean043a.jpg Then I asked him how many miles it had. But damn it kills the postwhoring... Who or what will be next?? Not sure... But for now the Phoenix is taking up that space.... http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...ild/100014.jpg |
Two words; Baller. Status.
Questions; How easy is it to clean off the top part when you spill oil, lube, brake fluid etc? Can you just tip it like a tow truck bed and hose it off? I see it has wheels on one end of it's base and a handle on the other, how much does it weigh? Easy to move around? I see electrical cords in a couple pics, it has a power lift mechanism? If so, can it be lifted manually if the powers out for some reason? |
1. Its a glossier style black diamond plate. Really smooth so it wipes up really easy. I usually clean it off with windex and a rag.
2. It weights like 700# or about 1 harley! :D On the painted floor with no bike on it... it slides around pretty well. Plus as you can see the in the first slightly assembled pic of it... it came with a hand truck that helps roll it around on those wheels. Their real is to roll when the lift goes up and down. 3. The electric cords are just for the battery tender or my little heater (its cold here in the winter). The lift is 100% air powered. |
Sweet rig, wish you were my neighbor.

Forgot this... and added above... even non-two wheeled things make it to the lift
