Mr. Moto EZ-Wash
 

For years my bike washing routine has been as follows:

1. Wet bike with garden hose.
2. Thoroughly spray/coat with S100.
3. Scrub/wipe with sponge and conventional soap concentrate & water mixture.
4. Rinse.
5. Dry with towel and leaf blower.
6. Ride 5-10 miles to blow out or burn off any remaining water.
7. Clean chain with rag and kerosene, lube/adjust when dry.
8. Wax.

Even though S100 is advertised as a spray and rinse, no-scrub bike wash, I've never found that method sufficient for the sort of grime my bikes tend to accumulate. It does work well to break up grit and grease prior to a regular wash, and it helps dissolve filth in areas difficult or impossible to reach with a sponge/rag/brush.

I've been satisfied with its performance for 10+ years, but because it's expensive, I finally decided to try something else. Last weekend I replaced S100 in number two of my cleaning process with Mr. Moto's EZ-Wash:

It looks and smells exactly like every generic pink auto/bike concentrate I've ever seen, and just like the stuff that comes out of most foaming brushes at the corner car wash. Because of this, my hopes were not high, but I diluted it as instructed and it actually worked very well. It was just as effective at dissolving grime as the S100 and I think it actually rinsed away a little cleaner. No leftover film whatsoever.

I like it because of the goofy logo.

Interesting... but I've never much been into the weird washing tactics... I either use Bug Slide spray and wipe or just kick it old school with a soapy/water bucket.

I too employ the leaf blower...
