F**k the bcs.

Seriously... FUCK FUCK FUCK the BCS. I refuse to watch the National Championship game. Such bullshit. A team that didn't win their conference, LET ALONE their own division is in the championship game, when 2 other 1 loss conference champions were left out. Only in fucking college football....

tear.... LOL

You can tell how fucked the BCS is with Michigan and Virginia Tech playing in the Sugar.

None of this is about competition. It's not about determining a number one or two or three. None of this is about athleticism. A look at the name of the bowl games tells you everything you need to know. This is nothing more than a cash grab.

Yes, Sparty should have been in the Sugar and Michigan in the Outback. I didnt follow Tech all year, but I did see them get schilacked by Clemson last night...

"In 2008, SEC commissioner Mike Slive pitched a so-called “plus-one” plan that essentially was a four-team playoff using existing bowl games. Other than the ACC, the other conferences not only summarily rejected the plan, they refused to even discuss its details."

You brought this on yourselves, the SEC wanted a playoff.

This is the reason why:

"The reason? That a “plus one” would prove so popular and profitable that there would be pressure to expand it, something the powerful bowl lobby opposes.

“Even though we could construct barriers at this time, we felt like there could be easily an erosion of that, more pressure to add more teams with an ability to get to the national championship game as we went over time,” then-Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe explained at the time."

Oklahoma State is at fault for this.... hahahahahahahahhahahhahahahaha

“On average, coaches rank teams from their own athletic conference nearly a full position more favorably and boost their own team’s ranking more than two full positions. Coaches also rank teams they defeated more favorably, thereby making their own team look better.”

Porkchop 12-04-2011 10:46 PM

That still doesnt make it right what happened. The Harris poll is a sham. It only screws up what the computers know.

"OSU - A strength of schedule ranked 10th, compared with shitville's at 38th. A team whose only loss was in double overtime to Iowa State the same week an OSU school plane crashed, killing two women's basketball coaches. A school that beat five teams with winning records to shitville's three. A team with four wins over BCS top 25 teams to shitville's two." And a team that just won their conference by roasting another top 10 team in OU.

I think the BCS got it right for a change. LSU and Bama are the 2 best teams in the country. I actually think Bama is better than LSU so Im glad to see a rematch.

And the Sugar Bowl? What a joke. The runner up of the ACC playing the 3rd place big 10 team? It wont even be close, Va Tech by 30.

Picture stanford or oregon having only lost one game, then there would be even more controversy. Any year theres more than 2 teams deserving of playing in the title game there will be crys for a playoff.

Even the other bowl games have been kinda sucky. I used tolove new years becasue there was one good bowl game after another, but in recent years not so much.
