in acceleration the r1 got pantsed by everything but the f4.

F4 as in the MV? I thought I read an article a few months ago saying they were really impressed with it

Listen slice redflip Remember...back in the late 90s, early 2000s, suspension was shit, so the heavier bikes yielded more confidence in the corners. That is not the case anylonger. Even Racetech shit back then didn't really fix the stability issue.

Besides I DID have a 2002 Gix 750....got stolen the first month I moved to CA. Mexicans...

to be fair the kawi does this too though somewhat less intrusively and is quite a bit easier (and cheaper) to banish

Are you taking about the exhaust butterflys? I think this is only to warm up the cat faster, no?

No. The throttle butterfly's. The us spec r1 does NOT give the rider full power under any condition.
