A much better solution

Many of you read the thread where I created a robot-looking headlight setup for my bike to be functional between TDs. After riding and taking another hard look at it. I realized something... I had lost my fucking mind (As many of you pointed out)

So I can up with a better plan. That will actually be less work than the first one.

Here is plan B

odd... but who gives a fuck.

why dont you just sell the z1000 and get another 750?

MUCH better! All you had to do was wire those to your current head light wiring, or what? Was it that easy?

I like it:dthumb:

Kind of a rally car/bike look.

I like it. Turn signals not required in your state? I know in mine they don't require mirrors or signals.

There's a guy on another forum who's also local here that has a similar setup with his R1... His aren't as cleanly done, but I think the wires everywhere I don't give a fuck look is kinda cool cause it's so obviously a track bike.

They aren't required in most states IIRC.

Yes, it was very easy. I mounted them to the fairing stay using the existing hole. Drilled 1/4" hole for the wires. As for wiring. Bought the connectors to match the exisitng headlight plug. Made a Y from the two lights to one plug. Plugged right in.

They are not required, but I am going to Cycle Gear tomorrow to get some cheap stalk turn signals. I'll drill and mount them to the existing headlight bracket, convert the plug, and plug them in. One bolt will remove the headlight and turn signals on each side.

Most require that if you have one... you have four that function. If you have none, hand signals. I haven't ever had turn signals on the 998.

And at least a mirror on the left side.
