Anyone out there?

Heading to Des Moines for the next couple weeks for guard duty (I'll be at Camp Dodge) Wondering if anyone is close by, as I'll have my Buell with me.

Post up or PM me and maybe we can meet up sometime.
I'll be there Saturday through the 13th.

OK... guess there is no one around the Iowa area... good to know.

When you look at a map of Iowa, the roads look very straight. Best bet would be to look for secondary roads along some of the rivers.

Yeah. thats the once nice thing about these military schools. I get a decent amount of evening time off so i can go out and get lost, then find my way back again.

I'll keep that in mind. I have a friend in Omaha too. If not this trip maybe over the fourth I'm rolling thru to KS.

As for here... I don't fit in. there are a LOT of sportbikers here, but I've only seen 3 wearing helmets and that's IT for gear. :no:

I'll be on an Alaskan cruise the week of the 4th. Is that when you're going to be around?

We're going somewhere in KS over the 4th. Not sure of the route we're taking, when we'll be where or anything as of yet. Tenatively we are riding the bikes...

I know the feeling. I found a good group of guys, but they're all 40-50 miles east. And of course, on our ride yesterday, some genius shows up in chaps and vest with a mohawk and no lid. Needless to say, he and his buddies didn't stick around for the twisties.
