One of the pictures Racer X posted shows a satellite photo of the warehouses. I know at one point he had around 6,000 cars. From what I have read when a car comes out that he likes he doesn't just get one, he orders a half dozen or more. That also includes prototypes and concept cars that never make it in to regular production.
What he did to get them? He was born royalty in a place that sits on a shitload of oil. If my memory is correct he was the richest person in the world for quite a while until Bill Gates came along.
