This was a time in which upstarts gained millions of dollars with their IPO's... many of these companies consisted of nothing more than a business plan and a promise of some new technology... I like to refer to it as the 'musical chairs days of the stock market'... when the music stopped, there were a lot of unfortunate motherfuckers left without a chair...
