It's not that great. Even the metropolitan parts are often ghetto as shit. There's some really nice neighborhoods though, mt adams is awesome, hyde park, park hills. Northside and clifton are both hippy communal type neighborhoods where different groups live together fairly well, lots of vegetarian eateries though.
