Fork/Tire Alignment
With my handle bars straight, my wheel isn't.
I turned my bars to the steering stop. Loosened the lower triple Held the tire where it needed to go Tightened the bolt back up but didn't help. Anyone have any advise? I am going to take the triples off today and check them to see if they are bent. While I have them off I will be checking the fork tubes too. |

Found this on the SV forum...
"Put bike on swingarm stand (if you have one). Loosen the top (and just the top) triple clamp pinch bolts that clamp around the fork tubes as well as the handlebar pinch bolts if you've got the GSX-R clip-ons that are indexed to the top triple clamp. Stand in front of bike with front tire between your knees. Grab the handlebars (and hope the index attachment to the top triple clamp allows you to put a bit of force on them without them spinning on the fork tube). Force handlebars in the direction needed to make things straight. Tighten 'er up." |

Saw a tool reviewed in Motorcyclist or Cycle World a few months back... Gotta be better than eyeballing it...
