Strangely, this wouldn't be the first time a twfix member spoke with another twfix member's boss to advise them to let that person go on vacation for a twfix gathering.

I'm just going to tell any prospective employer I've already paid for the trip when I had a job and there's no refunds. I'm hoping that'll work.

Typically as long as you are up front and clear that at such n such time you will be out of town on a pre employment planned trip, employers dont blink an eye. Ive done it several times over the years, for family events, twf rally etc. Make sure they acknowledge it in writing tho...
