True. Even water is poisonous in large enough amounts.

Handle every stressful situation like a DOG: If you can't eat it or hump it, pi$$ on it & walk away.

Just take a look a something as simple as what's supplying the water. There is plastic, ductile, copper, galvanized, stainless, lead, and wood water mains. I'm sure there is some nasty heavy metals just in the piping delivering it to your house. When there is a water main break, try to see if you can find a piece of the pipe laying around, most of the time it's choked down by sediment inside the pipe. If you have old copper pipes, I'm sure they used some lead based solder.

Sorry to say, unless you live in a bubble, your going to be in contact with some chemicals/ metals that probably aren't so great if you consume a large amount. But in your average amount that you would drink or eat then you'll probably be just fine.

With that being said, who knows how much longer the average lifespan could be if we reduced our exposure to those chemicals. Cancer is the leading killer, right? And as far as I know, the biggest cause of cancer is foreign toxins of some sort.
