Gift cards - love 'em or hate 'em? - Page 2

I don't like giving them as I prefer to get something personal for someone, but I definitely like receiving them, as I'm picky and difficult to shop for.

I'd rather have cash but a gift card from the right place (for example, a snowmobile or motorcycle shop) would be fine cuz that's probably where I'm going to spend my money anyhow

I have this slight irritation with them but it's completely an association thing and not about the actual gift card. I don't like Christmas and I hate birthdays, so I could care less what I get. A gift card is just one less thing I have to get rid of after it's all over.

I love getting them! I always get my daughter's teachers and administrators gift cards to Target...Who doesn't like Target?

I really like them, especially if they are to second cup or starbucks. I still have a couple hundred dollars worth to sears from our wedding reception.. probabily put that to use buying baby stuff.

My sister loves books but I never know what to get her, so a gift card to Chapters is a great thing for her.
