Like I said a 2 day trip, nothing super rough. I still am desperate to make a run up to NH to ride to the summit of Mt washington. I've made time for it twice so far, but the weather forcast for the mountain was never good enough to make it worth the effort to get there (after 60mph winds they dont let bikes ride up the mountain).

Yep nothing really amazing to see, just a big rock formation. While eating lunch there 4 or 5 yrs ago I happen to notice a blaze orange shirt on the mountain. Guy was climbing up it, and that was pretty neat. But other than that. Stop take a picture and ride on. I also work in the mining industry and my lab sits on the edge of a 255 ft deep hole 1/2 mile in diameter. I see lots of rocks.

There is another 10 or so miles east of Marlinton on RT 39. You blink and you will miss it. I just noticed it 2 yrs ago, and been by it 50 times.

Rt 56 in VA at Crab tree has a nice waterfall (tallest east of the Mississippi), There is another down near Covington VA also.

You won't be far from Natural Bride Va its pretty neat, and the caverns are great. Luray Caverns are kinda so-so though.
