  • I have the joy of being able to replace not only a tire, but a tube as well. I did a lot of research and now I'm ready to order. However, before I do I'd like to make sure I'm getting the right size tube. My tire size is 110/80-19. The details of the tire can be found here, and the tube I'm looking at buying is the size 2.25/2.5-19. I'm pretty sure that's the right size, but I don't know too much about what I'm looking at. The tube info can be found here.

I'm a little confused because the Metzeler brand tube has the sizes in tire size, but this brand doesn't.

  • I believe you have the correct size tube for your tire.

  • If you have an owners manual, it should tell you exactly in there. If not, you can probably find a free copy online somewhere, as well as a service manual.

  • The service manual gives the tire size, but it doesn't give extra information about the tube size. It's really just that brand tube that threw me off because of the weird measurment style.

  • If you ( personally ) are going to change the tire and tube, get a patch kit.

I would be completely amazed if a "tire rookie" didn't end up with a leaky tube.
