Storage Idea - Crazy?

  • I had a 9'x5' storage unit that was a perfect fit for two sportbikes, but moved to a new apartment and want to ditch the old unit in favor of storing both bikes right next door. The new unit is comparable in size, but L shaped. With a normal door swing instead of a roll-up, there's no way to get two bikes in on both wheels. My numbers say they'll fit if both are up on one wheel, and the structure in the unit should hold. SO - Brilliant or bat-shit insane?

  • Yeah you don't want to hang the bike any way but the same way it sits on the ground.

  • Another thought is to build a lift to fit the space. I could do it

  • I'd be skeptical. Seems like if you have to force it, not going to be worth the hassle.

  • What if you changed the door so it swung out?
