I always stop and talk to officers on Lookout Mountain, especially motorcycle cops. I never know when one will pull me over. He or she might be lenient if they know me. But this guy was on the phone the whole time. They were trying to decide if they should close Highway 6 through the canyon which is the main way to get to the gambling towns. The fire is out now.

Noble job. And dangerous. In 1994, 13 firefighters were killed near Glenwood Springs, CO when a fast moving wildfire turned on them. The winds in the mountains are so unpredictable. Be safe.
