You would not believe the amount of people who set off their alarms doing just that. This is the most popular reason for false alarms, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.

The other most common reason is getting up in the middle of the night still half asleep to let their dogs out and they *forget* the alarm is set. Doh!

Crazy people... I'm still not clear why you wouldn't have a house key with your car key. Unless something's really wrong, you're always gonna be outside your house while you're driving. Presumably you'll always need to get back in...

cause then you would need to have a house key with every set of vehicle keys.
I would have 4 then...

You have a wad of keys on a keychain tugging on your ignition, don't you...

yup, we have car key and remote 2x, bike key 1x, and we each have a bundle of keys, we take the car keys we need.

+ we don't lock our garage door, just use the opener.

so all we walk around w/ is usually 1 set of car/bike keys

I usually keep a spare set too...I had the opposite prob with my youngest...we had to install a sliding lock at the TOP of the door on the INSIDE to keep him in...

1 keyring: 2 car keys (daily drivers), 2 keyless entry remotes, 1 house key, 1 office key

2 keyring: 3 bike keys, Givi bag key, 1 house key, 1 office key

3 keyring: 4 car keys ("toy" cars), 1 house key, 1 office key

4 keyring: 6 keys for bikes that don't run

I'd rather spend a couple bucks making copies of my house key than have another damn keyring to keep track of

A key is like a dollar...I have a key on my Bike keys to my house...Thats it its one extra key it doesnt take up that much space.

And I have a key on my car keys...My fiance has a key on her car keys...the locks we bought came with two keys so i had to make 1 extra key.

But still...How many cars do you have?? I to think its crazy ppl dont carry there house key on there car keys
