Default I always thought a 250 would be fun...

But I never thought it would be this much fun.

I picked this little guy up for my Girlfriend about a week ago and I've got almost as many miles on it as she does. Ripping around town and playing in a few back roads is a ton of fun without too much speeding. As opposed to the 12, which is speeding at pretty much anything over idle. The whole 70MPG thing is nice too since I'm used to getting better milage in my Car than on my Bike.

I was always a fan of Honda, but these Kawis are really growing on me.

About time.
Just because it's a small displacement bike and often favored by beginners doesn't mean it shouldn't have generous power (for its size), be tunable, adjustable, and have a healthy aftermarket.

*I actually just checked out the new Ninja 300. Wow...I wouldn't mind having one of those.

The most fun I've ever had was on my 82 KE100! 11HP Baby!! Like Azoom said, every time I get on it I giggle like a little girl! It's just a hoot to be able to do everything WFO and never worry about a speeding ticket! I rode it in the annual Fun Fest Poker Run for 225 miles with a top speed of 65 on flat land tucked-in tight! As soon as I sat up, 50 was a struggle! Pure giggle fun!

Right on! The girl picked up a TTR that has about 10hp, and I think it's as much fun as anything I've ridden. Bikes keep getting bigger, yawn.

It does look pretty sweet.

My Girlfriend has had a couple of older 500s. That's what she learned to ride on and got her license with. The problem is, she's not very tall and they seemed too big and heavy for her to get comfortable on. With some time on a 250, she might learn to get comfortable on bigger bikes...But if she's content with the smaller bikes, I can see a 300 in her future.

This post is the first I've heard of the 300... I like it. Big bump in power from what I'm reading and in the right places.

If I had the money, I would have one and make it a track bike! Then I might actually be able to attend track-days!!
