I'd totally go with something that looks like that, but I'd want about 3" more up the ankle for support...

Why do MC boots have to either look like "combat veteran" or "Apollo crewmember"? MC shoes have the right idea, but don't offer enough protection for me to plunk down that sort of scratch...

Yep, they suck. You have to dip your foot way down in order to get it under the shifter.......Plus the steel toe prevents you from feeling the shifter. And the thick sole prevents you from feeling the peg with the ball of your foot.

I never rode in the steel toe Docs but I do ride in regular Doc Martens sometimes. No issues with those.
