I have had a blast dragging the few times I have gone. Bracket racing is actually easier on a stock bike. I proved that winning first both times I went on my GSXr750 even though I was running against all slammed stretched 1000's busa's and a ZX14.

It does take a lot of practice launching. The run were I learned to drag my clutch all the way through 1st gear with the throttle pinned is the run my times dropped A LOT.

Glad you had a good time, once people try it most like it and begin to understand the madness....

drag racing is a skill, and an underrated one until someone tries it. The uninitiated seems to think you just line up and assualt the throttle-NOT.....

While I prefer curvy roads over the strip any day, I still like to hit the strip to keep what little skills I have sharp. Guess I need to head over and run the new busa a few times soon.
