Heh, I put about 200 miles down on Christmas Eve... It did get a little cold though... dropping into the 50's for my ride back after sunset.

A lot of people around here had no power on Christmas Eve. We had an ice storm come through on the Sunday/Monday, which took out a whole lot of trees. I got lucky and only lost power for about 5 hours. Trust me; there was no one riding a bike around here unless it had a skate tied to the front wheel, and spikes on the back.

I can't wait until we get that warm again.

-28 last night, and the elevator started on fire.

You know that joke about it being so cold, if you throw water out the door it will freeze before it hits the ground?
Yeah, that happened. Water out of the fire hoses was freezing before it hit the building.

I sort of expect that in ND, especially after having seen "Fargo" What I don't expect is for Toronto to be colder than Whitehorse, YT, or the equator on Mars. We hit -27C (-17F) last night.

I got pissed off yesterday morning! It was -3 and the bike wouldn't start! I had to get the wife to take me to work and that made me late! I got tired of her fussing about me riding in this weather so, she brought me today. I don't like it.
