Normally I do swap the exhaust out, but after doing so on several BMW flat twins before, the opened blatty note, while not bad, isn't great either, and rarely is there much of the performance bump... BMW stock exhaust is highly efficient and well tuned. This HP2 Sport has a special gas flap in the can, not only delivering extra torque, but it helps deliver this delicious exhaust note. When it arrives in May I'll confirm from the saddle.

Correction... the 848 was introduced at Almeria in Spain, not the Ascari circuit for this HP2 Sport.

so are you just test riding one or buying one? if your buying I'll need your street address and hours you'll be away or asleep... also where the keys are kept would be much preferred.

I haven't seen the HP Sport yet but the MegaMoto comes with the Akrapovic exhaust that has removable baffles.

Boxer twins are not known for sweet sounds, so if that's what you're after then you need to get a V-twin and not a flat twin.

Placed a deposit last October. Arrival planned for May. Trading the thing below, which is divine in its own right. Tell you what, next time I'm in Seoul on business I'll air freight the bike with me so you can take it for a spin in the area.

Oh, you could probably fine one in the States for about $14K. BMW NA no longer imports them into the country. There aren't many here, but I kinda like that. Can hang with anything. Friend of mine raced it in the local MRA GTO Supertwins series against a horde of 1098's, 999's and Milles. Led most of the season but ended up coming in second. Not bad for this aircooled things.

I think you need to start a thread with lots and lots of pictures!

and ok... 14K is only about 6k outside my budget plus it's more bike than I need right now... but god damn it looks sexy as fuck!
