Some excellent landscape shooters use point & shoots. An iPhone isn't much less than that and, as a friend said when I tried to tech him track shooting, "I'm a hero at 800x530"

This is a fantastic picture from an iPhone. Nearly every picture I've seen from the iPhone sucks. Well done.

It's hit or miss when it's darker - when the light is behind you and it's daytime it does pretty well.
