I have one of these I cruse around on from time to time.

I'm going to it on the expert rider course. I could stand up on the fucking seat of this thing a weave it through any obstacle. Never been rebuilt and still runs like a champ.

Those fifty cubs go for a good penny in good condition. They just look uncomfortable with them being small.

My in-laws have a Honda CL-70 in their shop just sitting there - eventually I plan on working on it and this thread will probably help

Awesome project, dude.

My bad. The pic makes it look small. Should have looked at the wheels.

Didn't get too much done this weekend. Been getting myself worked up over this so I just sat on my butt to calm myself.

Made sure the cam and cam gear was aligned properly. Adjusted the valves and set the timing. Installed a new kicker starter and a new condenser.

All the connectors on the wire harness are oxidized or whatever. Some connectors are single round male to single female round and there are also double round females and two male rounds connect to them. I am going to cut all of those connectors off and solder on some new flat male/female connectors. Where there are the double round females I'm going to cut the wire, then solder two wires on to the one to make a "Y" with a female connector on each to simulate the one piece double round female connector.

I let two carbs sit in PineSol for a couple days. Seemed to clean them well. I found that this tube was clogged. Not sure if it'll help since even the new carb would do the leaking fuel trick.

Cool

The bad news is it's shit balls cold outside right now. Suppose to be in the 20's till Friday. BOOOO! I just got came inside from freezing in the geerodge.

The good news is the garage doesnt smell like pinesol and I've been saving on my insurance.

Instead of cleaning up all the old connections, I just got to hacking and slashing. Got some connectors and a soldering iron. I have about 10 minutes of soldering experience so it's always an adventure with me. The bad is the rubber around the wire melts/goos when I'm done. Guess I'll pull the rubber away as far as possible, then push it back when done soldering.

Got most of the main lines done expect for a couple. I'm not worried about getting the lights done yet.

Still have to solder these connectors.

One of the very few that came out nice.

I'm a Mothauckin Genius!
